Leicester City Rings Changes In Fa Cup Clash Against Bournemouth

Leicester City manager Enzo Maresca made good on his promise of heavy rotation by fielding a significantly altered lineup for the FA Cup fifth-round clash against Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium.

One standout inclusion in the starting XI was Arjan Raikhy, who earned his full debut for Leicester City. Maresca’s squad saw nine changes from their previous match, with only Hamza Choudhury and Jannik Vestergaard retaining their spots from the recent loss to Leeds United.

The rotated squad featured players like Jakub Stolarczyk in goal, defenders Conor Coady and Callum Doyle, midfielders Dennis Praet and Yunus, wingers Marc Albrighton and Wanya Marcal, and striker Tom Cannon. Notably, Kelechi Iheanacho, returning from the Africa Cup of Nations, was on the bench for the first time.

Young talents like Raikhy and Marcal were not the only fresh faces in the lineup. Attacking midfielder Logan Briggs and winger Silko Thomas were also among the substitutes, poised to make their debut appearances if called upon.

In case of need, Maresca had experienced players like James Justin, Ricardo Pereira, and Abdul Fatawu available on the bench to potentially bolster the squad against Bournemouth in the FA Cup encounter.
