Liam Nolan Eyes Knockout Victory In Muay Thai Contest Against Nauzet Trujillo

British Muay Thai fighter Liam Nolan is set to take on Spain‘s Nauzet Trujillo in a highly anticipated Muay Thai contest on ONE Championship’s February 17 bill. The event will be aired live on Sky Sports, headlined by Jonathan Haggerty’s bantamweight world title defense against Felipe Lobo.

Nolan, who recently returned after a year away from MMA, is determined to make a statement. Familiar with his opponent, he sees Trujillo as a tough challenge but confidently affirms his goal to secure a knockout victory, stating, ‘I will be looking to knock this guy out.’

Following his last fight on January 13, where he showcased his fast hands against Ali Aliev, Nolan’s quick turnaround signifies his desire to stay active in order to contend for the ONE lightweight world title later this year. ‘I have to fight opponents like this next guy and just be as active as I can,’ he mentioned.

Nolan aims to build his way up to a title shot and recognizes the importance of gaining necessary experience in the ring. Expressing his readiness, he shared, ‘I have fought top guys before, but I need to get those rounds in. I think after this fight I’ll be ready.’

As a Muay Thai practitioner transitioning into ONE Championship’s unique format, Nolan acknowledges the adjustments required. ‘You soon realize you’ve got to improve your boxing, you’ve got to tighten your defense,’ he noted. Coming off a successful performance against Aliev, the British fighter believes he has more to offer. ‘I feel like I can show so much more. I want to go and really show everything in this next one now, the new style that I’m bringing,’ he warned.

Don’t miss Liam Nolan’s thrilling Muay Thai showdown against Nauzet Trujillo on February 17, live on Sky Sports, as he continues on his path towards the coveted ONE lightweight world title.
