BOSTON –– The Boston Bruins will welcome back defenseman Hampus Lindholm for their game against the New York Islanders on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at TD Garden. Lindholm missed the last five games due to a lower-body injury but has been activated off injured reserve.

Head coach Marco Sturm expressed excitement about Lindholm’s return, saying, “He’s a really good defenseman, we saw when he was in the lineup. We missed him.” Lindholm is expected to partner with Andrew Peeke on the second defensive pair and will participate in the second power-play unit.

The 31-year-old alternate captain averaged 15:04 of ice time in his first three games this season. The Bruins aim for a bounce-back performance after their previous loss to the Ottawa Senators, where they fell 7-2.

“I think we all should feel embarrassed by what happened yesterday,” Sturm said of the prior game. “We all take a lot of pride in games like that. We just want to be better and show a response today.”

The matchup against the Islanders starts at 7:15 p.m. ET. Boston currently has a record of 4-7, while the Islanders sit at 4-3-1 in the Eastern Conference standings.
