Denver, Colorado – Lisa Braun, the mother of Denver Nuggets guard Christian Braun, became the center of attention during Game 4 of the Western Conference semifinals on Sunday. The game took place at Ball Arena, where the Nuggets faced off against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

ESPN cameras frequently focused on Lisa, a former basketball star, as she cheered for her son. At one point, broadcaster Mark Jones acknowledged her presence with a Mother’s Day shoutout, highlighting her reactions to significant plays, including Christian’s impressive block on Thunder star Isaiah Joe.

“[Isaiah] Joe blocked by Braun. Momma loved that defense from her son,” Jones said during the second quarter.

Supporters praised Lisa on social media, reminiscing about her basketball achievements at the University of Missouri in the 1980s. Lisa was inducted into the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame in 2019, a testament to her successful athletic career. She was a three-time All-State selection and ranks third all-time in blocked shots for the Mizzou Tigers.

The mothers of both Oklahoma City guard Jalen Williams and Isaiah Joe, Nicole Williams and Nicole Joe, respectively, were also in attendance, further adding to the special atmosphere of the day.

Despite a strong showing from Christian, who contributed 17 points, three steals, and one block, the Nuggets fell to the Thunder with a final score of 92-87. The series is now tied 2-2, with Game 5 scheduled for Tuesday in Oklahoma City.
