Liverpool Vs Brighton Premier League Match At Anfield

Liverpool is set to face Brighton & Hove Albion for the second time in just four days, this time in a Premier League encounter at Anfield on Saturday, November 2. The Reds secured a 3-2 victory over the Seagulls in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup on Wednesday, with goals from Cody Gakpo and Luis Diaz proving decisive.

The match is crucial for Liverpool as they aim to reclaim the top spot in the Premier League, having surrendered it to Manchester City after a draw with Arsenal last weekend. Arne Slot‘s side will look to capitalize on their home advantage and the return of key players such as Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk, and Trent Alexander-Arnold, who were rested or on the bench during the midweek cup tie.

Brighton, under Fabian Hurzeler, have had a mixed week, suffering a late collapse against Wolverhampton Wanderers in a 2-2 draw and then the defeat to Liverpool in the Carabao Cup. Despite these setbacks, Brighton have shown resilience against top-tier teams this season, including victories over Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United. However, they face significant challenges with injuries, particularly to key players like Lewis Dunk, Ferdi Kadioglu, and Solly March.

The predicted lineups for Liverpool include Caoimhin Kelleher in goal, a defensive lineup of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Ibrahima Konate, Virgil van Dijk, and Kostas Tsimikas, with Ryan Gravenberch and Alexis Mac Allister in midfield. Mohamed Salah and Darwin Nunez are expected to lead the attack, with Cody Gakpo and Luis Diaz competing for the left-wing spot.

Brighton’s lineup is less certain due to injury concerns, but Fabian Hurzeler is hopeful that Joao Pedro and Matt O'Riley will be available. Ferdi Kadioglu’s injury is not deemed serious, and he could also be an option for the match.

The match kicks off at 3 p.m. GMT (11 a.m. ET, 8 a.m. PT) and will not be broadcast live on TV in the UK due to the traditional Saturday 3 p.m. kickoff blackout. However, fans can stream the match on Peacock in the US, fuboTV in Canada, and Optus Sport in Australia.
