Munich, Germany — Liverpool and Newcastle United are reportedly interested in signing Bayern Munich winger Kingsley Coman as the summer transfer window approaches.

The 28-year-old French international, who has struggled with form this season, could be available for approximately €45 million. Sources close to Coman have indicated that he is open to a move to the Premier League, with clubs like Tottenham and Atletico Madrid also keeping tabs on him, according to CaughtOffside.

Coman’s current contract with Bayern runs until 2027, but the prospect of leaving the Bavarian club seems increasingly concrete. Last summer, a deal to transfer him fell through, and there were also approaches from teams in the Saudi Pro League. However, Coman is said to prefer staying in Europe, especially considering opportunities in England or Spain.

“It will depend on whether any clubs make an offer that Bayern finds acceptable,” a source told CaughtOffside. “At €45 million, it may be a tough sell for a player whose form has dipped.”

Despite questions about his current state, Coman’s skill set could still attract top clubs looking for depth. Liverpool may look to bolster their attacking options next season, especially as key players’ contracts expire. Newcastle may view Coman as a pivotal addition, although the club has largely prioritized younger talents in recent transfers.

Arsenal has also reportedly expressed interest in Coman, seeking to enhance their wide options for more effective rotation alongside stars like Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli. “He brings experience and knows how to win titles,” an Arsenal scout noted. “His versatility is an asset.”

Meanwhile, Liverpool’s focus on Coman appears partly influenced by Mohamed Salah‘s uncertain future with the club. Salah, who will be a free agent at the end of this season, has yet to extend his contract. As Liverpool weighs alternatives, they see Coman as a potential replacement. Both Liverpool and Arsenal possess the financial resources necessary to meet Bayern’s asking price, which adds urgency to their overtures.

Coman’s declining playtime at Bayern suggests the team may be willing to facilitate his transfer for the right price. Despite concerns about his recent performance, his capabilities warrant the projected fee of €30-40 million.

Meanwhile, Liverpool has begun inquiries for other players as well, considering a broad strategy for upcoming transfers while contemplating the potential loss of Salah. Though Liverpool’s interest in Coman remains initial, the situation is evolving, and their pursuit of the player may intensify in the coming weeks.
