Gemma Bonner, the centre-back of Liverpool FC Women, has been honored with her second Player of the Month award for the 2023-24 season, winning the prize for January as voted by supporters. Bonner, known for her resilience and leadership, showcased stellar performances throughout the month, including a crucial late winner against Bristol City in the Adobe Women’s FA Cup.

Upon receiving the award at the AXA Melwood Training Centre, Bonner expressed her gratitude towards the fans for their continuous support. She emphasized the significance of fan backing during matches, likening their cheers to a home game atmosphere that motivates the team to perform at their best.

The highlight of Bonner’s month came in the form of the hard-fought victory over Bristol City, where Liverpool FC Women managed to secure a win despite playing with 10 players following Ceri Holland’s dismissal.
