Two Liverpool FC Women players showcased their talents on the international stage over the weekend, with standout performances in various fixtures.
In the final round of Asian qualifying for the 2024 Olympics, Fuka Nagano featured for Japan, putting in a solid 70-minute display as they battled to a 0-0 draw against Korea DPR.
The other Asian qualifying fixture saw Australia, with goalkeeper Teagan Micah as an unused substitute, taking a commanding 3-0 aggregate lead over Uzbekistan.
Second leg matches for these qualifiers are set to take place on February 28, adding further excitement to the competition.
Meanwhile, Jenna Clark made an impact as a second-half substitute for Scotland, contributing to a 2-0 victory over the Philippines at the prestigious Pinatar Cup held in Spain.
Scotland now gears up for the final on Tuesday against Finland, who secured a 1-0 win over Slovenia, with Reds right-back Emma Koivisto in the squad but not featuring in the match.
In another international youth tournament, Mia Enderby watched from the bench as England U19s narrowly fell 3-2 to France at the La Nucia tournament.
