Milwaukee, Wisconsin – Rookie pitcher Logan Henderson delivered another stellar performance on Tuesday night, leading the Milwaukee Brewers to a 5-2 victory over the Baltimore Orioles. In his third major league start, the 23-year-old right-hander pitched five scoreless innings, allowing just two hits and striking out seven batters.

Henderson’s success on the mound was pivotal for the Brewers, as the team has dealt with multiple injuries to key starting pitchers including Brandon Woodruff and Nestor Cortes. His remarkable outing brings his season record to 3-0 with an impressive 1.69 ERA and a WHIP of 0.813.

“I just went out there and focused on each pitch. The defense played great behind me, and it felt good to contribute to a win,” Henderson said after the game.

Henderson made history by becoming the first pitcher in MLB’s modern era to record a win and at least seven strikeouts in each of his first three career starts. Prior to his promotion, Henderson had a strong showing in the minors, and his success in Triple-A Nashville, where he had a 5-1 record, led the Brewers to call him up.

Milwaukee’s offense also shined, with Brice Turang and Sal Frelick each hitting home runs, contributing to the team’s fourth win of the season against Baltimore. The Orioles, struggling this season with a record of 15-32, have now lost their last eight games under interim manager Tony Mansolino.

“We know we have a long way to go, but this win feels great,” said Brewers’ manager Craig Counsell. “Logan has really stepped up, and we’re excited to see where he can take us.”

As the Brewers look to improve their 24-25 record, they are in a position to complete a series sweep against the Orioles on Wednesday. The finale is set for 1:10 p.m. ET.
