Louisville Cardinals Men's Basketball Game

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The No. 6 Louisville Cardinals, boasting a perfect 5-0 record, will host the Eastern Michigan Eagles in an exciting men’s basketball matchup on Monday, November 24, at the KFC Yum! Center. This game is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on the ACC Network.

Louisville aims to extend their four-game home winning streak against Eastern Michigan, which enters the contest with a 3-2 record. The Eagles are coming off back-to-back victories over Detroit Mercy and Oakland, but face a significant challenge against the Cardinals.

“This is our toughest test yet,” said EMU head coach Stan Heath. “We’re excited to play a ranked team and see how we measure up.”

Eastern Michigan recently achieved a notable win over Oakland, where Mo Habhab delivered a standout performance with 24 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists, marking the program’s first triple-double. The Eagles overcame a 13-point second-half deficit to triumph 97-91 against Oakland.

While Eastern Michigan has shown promise, the team faces a formidable opponent in Louisville. The Cardinals have demonstrated strong form, most recently defeating rival Cincinnati 74-64.

“We have to come out strong and play at our best. Louisville is a very skilled team,” Habhab noted, aiming to lead his team into what would be a historic victory.

The last meeting between these two teams was back in 2015, where Louisville claimed an 86-53 victory. The Eagles will look to improve their all-time record against the Cardinals, as they are currently 0-1 against them.

Louisville has a deep history of success against teams from the Mid-American Conference, holding a 30-8 record in such matchups. The game promises to be an exciting contest, with both teams eager to assert themselves early in the season.
