LSU-Arkansas Baseball Game Delayed by Rain

BATON ROUGE, La. — The highly anticipated LSU–Arkansas baseball game, originally set for 6:30 p.m. CT, has been rescheduled to start at 9:55 p.m. CT on Friday due to heavy rain in Baton Rouge. Fans can tune in to listen via the LSU Sports Radio Network or stream the game on SEC Network +.
The game features No. 1 Arkansas Razorbacks (40-9, 17-7 SEC) facing off against No. 3 LSU Tigers (38-11, 15-9 SEC) in what promises to be an exciting top-five matchup.
Weather in the Baton Rouge area caused the delay, prompting LSU Baseball to announce the new start time. “Due to inclement weather in the area, we will not start at 6:30. An updated start time will be provided when it becomes available,” the team stated earlier.
Arkansas comes into the game leading the Southeastern Conference and boasts a strong lineup and pitching staff. Arkansas infielder Wehiwa Aloy is batting .376 this season and has contributed significantly to the team’s success.
As for LSU, they are hoping to capitalize on playing at home. Coach Jay Johnson highlighted the challenge Arkansas presents, stating, “Arkansas is a real complete team, I think they’re the only team in the country with 40 wins this season. We’re really excited about this challenge and very happy to be playing at home.”
The teams will continue the series on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. CT and Sunday at 3 p.m. CT. All games will be played at Alex Box Stadium, Skip Bertman Field in Baton Rouge, which has a capacity of 10,718.
