Lsu Vs Arkansas Basketball Game 2025

BATON ROUGE, La. — The LSU Tigers and Arkansas Razorbacks will clash Tuesday night at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center, both teams desperate for their first Southeastern Conference (SEC) win of the season. The game tips off at 8 p.m. and will be broadcast on the SEC Network.

Both teams enter the matchup with identical records: 11-5 overall and 0-3 in SEC play. LSU is coming off a 77-65 loss to Ole Miss, while Arkansas has dropped its last two games at home to Ole Miss and Florida. The stakes are high as both programs look to avoid an 0-4 start in conference play.

LSU head coach Matt McMahon emphasized the urgency of the moment. “Desperation is the word,” McMahon said after the loss to Ole Miss. “I’m sure they’ll come in with the same mindset. We have to look to solutions.”

Arkansas head coach John Calipari, in his first season with the Razorbacks after a long tenure at Kentucky, echoed the challenges of SEC competition. “Everybody’s looking for Ws,” Calipari said. “I just hope we’re not the W.”

LSU’s struggles have been fueled by turnovers, ranking last in the SEC with a 22.4% turnover rate in conference games. “We’d be better off getting a shot clock violation than these turnovers out front against the pressure that are leading to transition layups,” McMahon added.

Arkansas, meanwhile, has struggled with shooting efficiency. The Razorbacks rank near the bottom of the SEC in three-point percentage, two-point percentage, free throw percentage, and effective field goal percentage in conference play.

Key players to watch include LSU’s Cam Carter, who is averaging 17.1 points per game and ranks eighth in the league in scoring. Arkansas will rely on Adou Thiero (16.9 points per game) and Boogie Fland (15.5 points, 5.8 assists) to lead the charge.

The game also features special promotions, including half-off concessions until 10 minutes before tipoff and free cheeseburgers for the first 250 LSU students. The Air Elite Dunkers will perform at halftime, and LSU football’s mid-semester enrollees will be introduced to the crowd.

After Tuesday’s game, LSU faces a daunting schedule, with five of its next six opponents ranked in the top 25, including No. 1 Auburn and No. 4 Alabama. Arkansas, too, will look to build momentum as it navigates a challenging SEC slate.

Tickets for the game are available online at LSUTix.net or at the Maravich Center ticket windows one hour before tipoff. LSU students are admitted free with a valid ID.
