Lynx Aim to Stay Undefeated Against Struggling Wings

ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — The Minnesota Lynx are looking to extend their perfect start in the WNBA as they take on the Dallas Wings today, June 8, 2025. The Lynx, currently 8-0, are expected to dominate the last-place Wings, who have managed only one win this season.
Napheesa Collier and Courtney Williams are key players to watch in this matchup. Collier, who leads the WNBA in scoring with an average of 25.1 points per game, has previously scored 62 points in her first two games against Dallas this year. With the Wings allowing an average of 88.9 points per game, Collier is likely to continue her scoring success.
In addition to Collier, Williams has also been crucial for Minnesota, averaging 6.3 assists per game. In past meetings against Dallas, she recorded nine and seven assists, easily surpassing her current total of 5.5 assists. Their combined offensive output could lead Minnesota to a score exceeding 90 points.
On the other hand, the Wings welcome the return of Paige Bueckers from a concussion. Bueckers has struggled this season, averaging only 14.7 points, and is set with a scoring line of just 13.5 points against the Lynx. This will be closely monitored due to her recent injuries.
Dallas has struggled defensively, ranking near the bottom of the league, allowing opponents to score freely. Minnesota’s effective defense further complicates matters for Dallas, as they have held teams to just 74.8 points per game.
The game will tip off at 4:00 p.m. ET at the College Park Center. Viewers can catch the action on KFAA and FanDuel Sports Network North.
