March Madness 2025 Ncaa Tournament Schedule

Dayton, Ohio — The 2025 NCAA Tournament kicked off with intense competition as the First Four games wrapped up. March Madness is officially underway, showcasing thrilling action from 67 games to be aired across CBS Sports and TNT Sports.

The tournament began on March 18 with the First Four, leading up to the first round where 16 games were scheduled on March 20. The path to San Antonio for the Final Four is filled with anticipation for basketball fans nationwide.

“This is arguably the most exciting time on the American sports calendar,” said CBS Sports executive David Berson. “With competitive matchups and a variety of viewing options, we aim to keep all fans engaged.”

CBS leads the broadcast with 24 games, including the Final Four and Elite Eight. TBS, truTV, and TNT contribute to the extensive coverage, ensuring that fans can follow the action regardless of their viewing preferences.

This year’s announcing team includes familiar names such as Ian Eagle, Bill Raftery, and Grant Hill, who will lead the coverage throughout the tournament and call the Final Four. Eagle has commented on the importance of reliable narratives in sports broadcasting.

“Our mission is to make each game feel significant, allowing fans to connect with the storylines that develop,” Eagle added.

Notable matchups during the first round include a clash of legendary coaches: John Calipari’s No. 10 Arkansas against Bill Self’s No. 7 Kansas. As highlights of the day include UC San Diego’s historic first NCAA Tournament appearance against No. 5 Michigan, the excitement only heightens.

Basketball fans can tune in to CBS for all games aired by the network, and Max subscribers can watch on TBS, TNT, and truTV. March Madness Live app also offers streaming for those wanting to catch the games on the go.

Announcing teams vary from game to game, ensuring diverse commentary throughout the tournament. On March 20, the first games will feature Eagle with Raftery and Hill, while other games will have analysts like Jalen Rose join as a voice in the booth.

“It’s always a thrill to be part of such an iconic event,” Rose said during a media briefing. “I can’t wait to see how this tournament unfolds.”

The excitement culminates on April 5 and 7, when CBS will broadcast the Final Four and national championship, respectively, from the Alamodome. “This is a chance for the best teams to battle for the title,” Berson noted.

With broadcasting and viewing strategies tailored for a wide audience, CBS Sports and TNT Sports aim to deliver a memorable March Madness experience, bridging the gap between traditional viewing and the digital landscape.
