Magesi FC, under the management of Clinton Larsen, celebrated a historic moment as they secured promotion to the Premier Soccer League after a convincing 3-1 victory over Milford FC. The triumph marked a significant milestone for the team in the 2023/24 season of the Motsepe Foundation Championship.

The journey to the top-flight began for Magesi FC when they were promoted from the ABC Motsepe League in 2021. Their hard work and determination paid off as they clinched the title with a commendable eight-point lead at the summit of the league standings, with just two games remaining.

In a thrilling encounter, AmaTuks faced a setback in their promotion quest as they were held to a 2-2 draw by Thohoyandou Stadium, leaving them with 47 points in 28 games, while Magesi FC soared ahead with 55 points at the top.

Platinum City Rovers, guided by Tlou Segolela, suffered relegation to the ABC Motsepe League following a disappointing 4-2 defeat against Casric Stars. On the other hand, Baroka FC managed to edge out relegation-threatened Marumo Gallants with a 1-0 victory at Global Stadium, positioning themselves well to compete in the promotional playoffs.

Baroka FC, also known as Bakgakga, now sit third on the table and are poised to fight for a chance to return to the top-flight league. Meanwhile, Marumo Gallants find themselves in 15th place with 30 points after their defeat, facing a tough battle to avoid relegation.
