Orlando Magic Vs San Antonio Spurs Basketball Game Kia Center

ORLANDO, Fla. — The Orlando Magic hope their return home will reignite their offense as they face the San Antonio Spurs on Saturday night at the Amway Center. Orlando, sitting eighth in the Eastern Conference with a 25-28 record, looks to bounce back from a disappointing 1-5 road trip.

The Magic have struggled offensively, scoring 100 points in only three of their last 11 games. Their 3-point shooting, a league-worst 30.2%, has been a significant factor. However, when they manage at least 33% from beyond the arc, Orlando boasts a 15-4 record, showcasing the impact of even modest shooting improvements.

San Antonio, 12th in the West at 22-27, enters the game after a heartbreaking 117-116 loss to Charlotte. The Spurs havecolumnated their offense around newly acquired De'Aaron Fox, who has averaged 23 points and 9.5 assists in his first two games. Victor Wembanyama, the prized rookie, continues to shine, averaging 21.5 points per game.

‘We’re still learning each other,’ Fox said. ‘But the potential is there. We just need time to gel.’

Orlando President of Basketball Operations Jeff Weltman remains optimistic despite the team’s shooting woes. ‘Our offense doesn’t need to be elite,’ Weltman said. ‘We just need to be consistent enough to compete.’

The Magic’s defensive rating at home, 105.8, ranks among the league’s best. They aim to slow down the Spurs’ offense, which has surged to 118.6 points per 100 possessions since Fox’s arrival.

The game, broadcast on NBA League Pass and FuboTV, tips off at 7:00 PM ET. Fans can also watch locally on FanDuel Sports NetworkFlorida and FanDuel Sports Network – Southwest.
