Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. has launched its latest offering, the Mahindra Veero, with prices starting at Rs 7.99 lakh. This new light commercial vehicle (LCV) promises to redefine the segment under 3.5 tonnes by providing excellent mileage, notable performance, and leading safety features.

The Mahindra Veero is constructed on the Urban Prosper Platform (UPP), India’s first multi-energy modular platform designed for commercial vehicles. This platform aims to provide a low total cost of ownership while setting new safety standards that go beyond existing regulatory requirements.

The Veero is equipped with several first-in-segment features, including power windows, steering-mounted controls, a 26.03 cm touchscreen infotainment system, a driver-side airbag, and a reverse parking camera. These amenities aim at providing a comfortable and safe driving experience.

With a payload capacity of 1,600 kg, a cargo length of 3035 mm, and a fuel efficiency of 18.4 km per litre for the diesel variant, the Mahindra Veero is particularly suited for urban operations. It boasts a tight turning radius of 5.1 metres, enhancing its manoeuvrability in city environments.

Veejay Nakra, President of the Automotive Division at Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., stated that the Veero will further strengthen the company’s leadership in the LCV under 3.5 tonnes category. Nakra emphasized the vehicle’s combination of best-in-class payload, impressive fuel economy, and superior handling.

R Velusamy, President of Automotive Technology and Product Development at Mahindra & Mahindra, referred to the Mahindra Veero as a bold offering for forward-thinking entrepreneurs, underlining the company’s commitment to innovation. The vehicle’s slogan, “Soch Se Aage,” translates to “Beyond Imagination,” capturing its aim to surpass traditional expectations.
