Major Match Officials Announced for Trabzonspor-Galatasaray Showdown

ISTANBUL, Turkey — The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) has announced the referees for the upcoming matches in the 35th week of the Trendyol Süper Lig, scheduled for May 10, 2025.

The highlight of this weekend will be the clash between Trabzonspor and Galatasaray, which will kick off on Saturday at 7:00 PM at Papara Park. Atilla Karaoğlan will officiate this crucial match.

Karaoğlan, a FIFA-licensed referee, has previously officiated two encounters between these two teams, with each side claiming victory once. In their past meetings, he has issued a total of 13 yellow cards — seven to Trabzonspor and six to Galatasaray.

For the other matches set for May 10, Burak Pakkan will handle the Başakşehir-Fenerbahçe game at 8:00 PM, while Kadir Sağlam will oversee Gaziantep FK taking on Corendon Alanyaspor at the same time.

On May 11, the action continues with three matches, including Beşiktaş against Adana Demirspor at 7:00 PM, officiated by Çağdaş Altay. Additionally, Ümit Öztürk will handle the game between Sivasspor and Bodrum FK.

Karaoğlan has had a busy season, officiating 17 matches in the Süper Lig, including two involving Galatasaray and two featuring Trabzonspor. He also oversaw matches in the TFF Süper Cup and has recorded significant experience in derbies, having officiated five throughout his career.
