Malik Nabers Clears Concussion Protocol, Set to Return for Giants Against Eagles
New York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers has cleared the concussion protocol, paving the way for his return to the field in the upcoming NFC East matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday.
Nabers was evaluated by an independent neurological consultant on Thursday and successfully cleared the concussion protocol. This development comes after he missed the Giants’ past two games due to the concussion, which he suffered late in the fourth quarter against the Dallas Cowboys on September 26[1][2].
Although Nabers cleared the concussion protocol, he did experience some limitations during Friday’s practice due to a groin injury. However, the injury is not considered serious enough to warrant an injury designation for the Sunday game[2].
The return of Nabers is significant for the Giants, especially with the absence of another key receiver, Darius Slayton, who will miss the game due to a concussion. Nabers and fellow receiver Wan'Dale Robinson are expected to see an increased rate of targets in Slayton’s absence.
