According to the latest statistics, Mamelodi Sundowns have experienced a significant 23% surge in their social media following since 2023. This spike can be attributed to their engaging content, strong on-field performances, and the presence of several Bafana Bafana players in their squad.

On Twitter, Mamelodi Sundowns have surpassed the 1 million followers mark, currently boasting a massive following of 1.1 million. Similarly, on Instagram, they have over 700,000 followers, inching closer to the million milestone.

When it comes to Facebook, Mamelodi Sundowns lead the pack with over 2 million followers, although they are still behind Orlando Pirates, who boast an impressive 3.5 million followers on the platform. Kaizer Chiefs, on the other hand, have a massive 4.5 million followers on Facebook.

On Twitter, Orlando Pirates have 2 million followers, while Kaizer Chiefs are just shy of 3 million supporters on the micro-blogging platform. On Instagram, Orlando Pirates have approximately 687,000 followers, with Kaizer Chiefs nearing the million mark at 928,000.
