Manchester United Must Be Regretting Not Signing Kane Last Summer: Berbatov
Manchester United must be regretting the decision to let Harry Kane join Bayern Munich last summer after their lack of goals this season, according to former player Dimitar Berbatov.
Kane, who transferred from Tottenham Hotspur to Bayern Munich in the summer of 2023, has made a remarkable impact at the German club. The England captain was acquired for an initial £82 million and has excelled under manager Thomas Tuchel.
Since his arrival, Kane has scored an impressive 25 goals and provided eight assists in just 22 games across all competitions. Particularly notable is his goal-scoring prowess in the Bundesliga, where he has netted 21 times in 15 matches.
Bayern Munich signed Kane to fill the void left by Robert Lewandowski‘s departure and his performances have quickly won over the Bayern fans. In Bayern’s recent 3-0 win over Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga, Kane once again found the back of the net.
Meanwhile, Manchester United opted to sign Rasmus Hojlund last summer, but the Danish forward has struggled in the Premier League despite finding success in the Champions League.
Given United’s lack of goals this season, Berbatov believes they must be regretting their decision not to sign Kane and his incredible goal-scoring abilities.
