Manchester United‘s Under-18s put on a dominant display, securing a 4-0 victory over Leeds United in the U18 Premier League North at Carrington. Under the management of Adam Lawrence, the young Reds showcased their attacking prowess in a match that saw four first-half goals.

The encounter began with a high tempo as Leeds pressed aggressively, aiming to unsettle their opponents. However, Manchester United quickly adapted, demonstrating their quality and evading the intense pressure.

The breakthrough came in the 13th minute when Gabriele Biancheri’s determination paid off. The talented winger intercepted a pass, cutting in from the left-wing before calmly slotting the ball into the bottom corner, giving Manchester United an early lead.

Just moments later, Bendito Mantato celebrated his 16th birthday in style with a well-taken goal. Thanks to an excellent long pass from goalkeeper Thomas Myles, Harry Amass raced down the left flank before delivering a pinpoint cross for Mantato to convert at the back post.

Mantato turned provider in the 31st minute, playing a brilliant through ball to Zach Baumann, who rifled his shot into the net to give Manchester United a commanding 3-0 advantage.

Leeds goalkeeper Owen Grainger showcased his skills with impressive saves, denying both Biancheri and Mantato from close range. However, Ethan Williams managed to find the back of the net with the last kick of the first half, extending Manchester United’s lead to 4-0.

In the second half, Manchester United controlled the game, maintaining possession and defending well to keep Leeds at bay. Baumann had a couple of attempts at goal that were saved by Grainger, while a United trialist also threatened a fifth goal.
