Mangaluru International Airport Receives Bomb Threat, Security Officials Confirm No Immediate Danger
Mangaluru International Airport received a bomb threat via email on June 18 at 12:43 PM, raising concerns among security personnel and authorities. The email, warning of an imminent explosion, prompted the chief security officer to alert the local Bajpe police station immediately.
In response to the threat, security officials swiftly sprang into action, conducting a meticulous inspection of the airport premises. After a thorough search and evaluation, they reassured the public that no immediate danger was detected within the airport complex.
This incident is part of a concerning pattern, with reports indicating that 41 other airports across the country also received similar bomb threat emails. Notably, this is not the first time that Mangaluru International Airport has been targeted in such a manner, as similar threats were received on April 29, 2024, and December 26, 2023.
