Manly Winger Ruben Garrick Concussed Early in Clash with Penrith
Manly Sea Eagles winger Ruben Garrick suffered an early concussion blow during their clash against the Penrith Panthers.
The incident occurred within the first three minutes of the game when Garrick was accidentally struck in a tackle involving Panthers’ forward Luke Garner.
Garrick displayed signs of disorientation, prompting officials to classify his head injury as a category one concussion with no possibility of return to the match.
Corey Waddell was called in as Garrick’s replacement, while Ben Trbojevic shifted to the centres position.
Due to the severity of the concussion, Garrick will sit out the Sea Eagles’ upcoming game against the New Zealand Warriors in Auckland.
