India’s shooting star, Manu Bhaker, has made quite the splash at the Paris Olympics by qualifying for her third final in the women’s 25m pistol event. She secured her place by finishing second in the qualification round, racking up an impressive score of 590 points, just shy of Hungary‘s Veronika Major.

Despite a shaky start in the precision round, where she only managed two perfect 10s out of her first five shots, Manu showed remarkable determination. She quickly turned things around with five consecutive 10s, showcasing her skills and composure.

Her upward trend continued into the second series, where she began with three 10s, concluding that segment with a total of 98 points. In the third series, she nearly nailed it completely, hitting nine 10s and finishing with a score of 294 points overall, placing her third at the end of the precision round.

On the other hand, her fellow countrywoman Esha Singh had a rough start, posting scores of 95 and 96 in her first two series. However, she bounced back with a flawless score of 100 at the end, finishing her precision round in tenth place.

In the rapid round, Esha’s performance saw some ups and downs as she entered in strong spirits but struggled later on, ending with a total of 97 points. Meanwhile, Manu thrived in this round. She kicked things off with a perfect 100, followed by four 10s in her next series, solidifying her spot in the final.

On August 3 at 1:30 PM IST, fans will be eagerly watching as Manu goes for gold, hoping to add another remarkable chapter to her Olympic journey.
