The Lakers power forward shared his heartfelt appreciation for her influence on his life and career today, on what he affectionately calls ‘Foe Day Momma.’

Markieff recalls the times he and Marcus would sneak into their local gym after hours, captivated by their shared love for basketball. “We didn’t have fancy facilities or trainers, just the drive to succeed,” he said. Markieff was there for Marcus when the latter played for the LA Clippers, especially during a tense Game 7 against the Dallas Mavericks.
