BALTIMORE, Maryland – Marlon Humphrey and the Baltimore Ravens are off to a rough start in the 2025 NFL season. Currently sitting at a 1-3 record, the team faced a disappointing 37-20 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs last week.

Humphrey, a four-time Pro Bowl cornerback, has struggled in the early games. He has allowed 15 receptions for 240 yards, with one touchdown scored against him, resulting in a passer rating of 114.4. Notably, he has yet to record an interception this season and has only managed one pass deflection. The entire Ravens defense has been underwhelming, ranking 31st in total yards allowed per game and last in points allowed, with an average of 33.3 points per game.

Adding to his frustrations, Humphrey was fined $11,593 for unsportsmanlike conduct related to a facemask penalty against Chiefs’ wide receiver Xavier Worthy in the first quarter. The resulting Kansas City drive led to a field goal. Since joining the NFL, Humphrey has faced fines seven times, totaling $143,746. Kansas City’s JuJu Smith-Schuster also received a fine of $7,903 for a low block during the same game.

With the Ravens gearing up for their Week 5 matchup against the Houston Texans, the looming prospect of a 1-4 start raises concerns about their playoff chances. This is particularly disheartening after entering the season as Super Bowl contenders.
