Marvel Rivals Season 1 Eternal Night Falls

Marvel Rivals, the highly anticipated Super Hero Team-Based PVP Shooter, has unveiled its Season 1: Eternal Night Falls, set to launch on January 10, 2025. Developed by Marvel Games and NetEase Games, the new season introduces a host of new content, including playable heroes, maps, and an all-new game mode.

The season will kick off at 07:00 UTC and will be divided into two halves. The first half will feature the release of Mr. Fantastic and Invisible Woman, while the second half will introduce Human Torch and The Thing. Each of these characters brings unique abilities to the game, with Mr. Fantastic’s cellular elasticity and Invisible Woman’s force fields and stealth capabilities being particularly noteworthy.

Three new maps will be added during Season 1: Sanctum Sanctorum, Midtown, and Central Park. These maps are set in the Empire of Eternal Night in New York City, where players will battle against Dracula‘s legions. The storyline revolves around the Timestream Entanglement, which has left Doctor Strange lost in the Entangled Astral Plane, and the subsequent chaos that ensues as Dracula taps into the dark power of Chronovium.

Season 1 will also feature an all-new game mode called Doom Match. In this mode, 8 to 12 players will battle on a single map, each belonging to a different faction. Players earn points by knocking out enemies, and the top 50% of players by default will be considered the winning side.

Additionally, the season will introduce a new Battle Pass, priced at 990 Lattice, which includes 10 stunning costumes and related content such as sprays and emotes. Players can also look forward to the Midnight Features seasonal event, which offers limited-time rewards, and new Twitch Drop exclusive rewards starting January 11.

Balance updates will also be implemented in Season 1, with enhancements to mobile-type Vanguards like Mr. Fantastic and Invisible Woman to improve their ability to charge into a fight and protect their allies. Other heroes will also see boosts in their capabilities to bring them in line with the rest of the roster.

Marvel Rivals is available now on multiple platforms, and players can continue to get the latest updates on fixes and game balancing via the latest developer notes. For more information, visit the official Marvel Rivals website and follow the game on various social media platforms.
