Maryland Linebacker Ruben Hyppolite Ii Nfl Draft Visit

Foxborough, Massachusetts – Ruben Hyppolite II, a speedy linebacker from Maryland, recently visited the New England Patriots as part of his pre-draft activities. This marks Hyppolite II’s 30th visit with various NFL teams leading up to the draft.

Hyppolite II, who is projected to be a late-round pick or a rookie free agent, previously met with 10 NFL teams in total and held several virtual meetings. During his Patriots visit, he stated, “I went to a lot of places and had a lot of great meetings. I was all over the East Coast, Midwest, and West Coast.”

The linebacker, who stands just under 6 feet tall and weighs 236 pounds, demonstrated impressive speed and agility during his pro day, running a 4.42-second 40-yard dash and a 6.96-second three-cone drill.

Throughout his career at Maryland, Hyppolite II played in 56 games with 47 starts. He recorded a total of 236 combined tackles, three interceptions, and one sack and forced fumble. Despite concerns about his size, his speed has made him an appealing prospect for NFL teams as the draft approaches.

Hyppolite II is one of two confirmed off-the-ball linebackers who have visited the Patriots in recent weeks. In total, the team has brought in 20 known prospects to Gillette Stadium as they prepare for the upcoming NFL Draft.
