Yeida Plot Scheme Draw

On October 10, 2024, the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (Yeida) is set to conduct its largest-ever plot allotment draw at the India Expo Centre in Greater Noida. Despite offering only 361 plots, approximately 187,000 hopeful applicants have participated in the scheme. The draw, intended to ensure transparency, will be overseen by a committee comprising three retired high court judges, as reported by Yeida officials. This draw is reported to be the most significant in terms of applicant numbers that Yeida has organized to date.

The 361 plots up for grabs are strategically located near the upcoming Noida Greenfield International Airport, which officials say is expected to commence operations by April 2025. The designated plots, varying in size from 120 square meters to 4,000 square meters, are situated in sectors like 16, 18, 20, and 22D along the Yamuna Expressway, which connects Greater Noida with Agra. According to Yeida, the scheme officially launched in July, offers plots at a rate of ₹29,500 per square meter. “The enthusiastic response from buyers highlights the plot scheme’s attractiveness due to the strategic location near the Noida International Airport,” stated Arun Vir Singh, CEO of Yeida.

In response to the overwhelming interest, authorities noted that out of the 202,235 total applications scrutinized, 187,000 have been deemed eligible. Notably, only applicants opting for a one-time payment are being considered for the draw, in line with the conditions detailed in the scheme’s brochure. “Applicants choosing installment payments were excluded from the draw as per the brochure stipulations, and their registration fees will be refunded,” explained Singh.

Among the plots available, the 120-square-meter plots are the most sought-after, with 67,197 applications filed. Yeida also received 59,613 applications for 300-square-meter plots and 44,181 applications for 162-square-meter plots. The lottery event is anticipated to draw at least 1% of the applicants to the Expo Centre, while remaining participants can follow the proceedings via a live stream on social media platforms. “The entire draw process will be videographed and documented to guarantee transparency and accountability,” assured Singh.

Following the completion of the allotment process, unsuccessful applicants are expected to receive their registration refunds within a 72-hour window. Yeida has expressed satisfaction with the scheme’s success, attributing it to the residential sectors’ proximity to the forthcoming Noida airport and the region’s excelling infrastructure and connectivity. “Our competitive plot rates, unmatched by other cities, further enhance the appeal of our offerings,” added Singh.
