As the Indian cricket team triumphantly returned to Mumbai following their victory in the ICC T20I World Cup 2024 in Barbados, adoring fans and locals alike converged at Mumbai’s iconic Marine Drive to partake in a grand victory parade.

The enthusiasm and pure joy of the city were vividly captured in a viral video that showcased the overflowing streets and ebullient cheers of supporters lining the route from Nariman Point to the illustrious Wankhede Stadium.

ANKS (Asian News International) shared this enthralling video, portraying the massive crowd eagerly awaiting the arrival of Team India for their victory parade post the T20 World Cup 2024 triumph.

DCP Zone 1, Pravin Munde, made an earnest request for people to arrive by 4:30 pm to the promenade side at Marine Drive, affirming the team’s plan to engage in an open bus victory procession from 5 to 7 pm stretching between Nariman Point and Wankhede Stadium. Munde emphasized the importance of assembling on the promenade side to avoid congestion on the road.

Enhanced security measures were implemented throughout the city in anticipation of the victory parade, with a specific directive for the public to opt for public transportation and arrive early to minimize traffic congestion. Noteworthy dignitaries such as Police Commissioner Vivek Phansalkar and the National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA) played pivotal roles in coordinating the event logistics to ensure a smooth and jubilant celebration.
