Masters 2025: Tee Times Revealed for Major Showdown in Augusta

AUGUSTA, Ga. – Bryson DeChambeau, the reigning U.S. Open champion, will compete alongside two other major winners as the Masters Tournament begins Thursday at Augusta National. Tee times for the 95-player field were announced on Tuesday, highlighting the matchups set for the first two rounds.
DeChambeau, who also captains Crushers GC, will share the course with Hideki Matsuyama, the 2021 Masters champion, and Shane Lowry, the 2019 Open champion. Current LIV Golf individual points leader Joaquin Niemann is paired with fellow 20-something golfers Min Woo Lee and Collin Morikawa.
The Masters will see three-time champions Phil Mickelson, Keegan Bradley, and Jason Day in another exciting group. Jon Rahm, the 2023 Masters winner, will tee off with Wyndham Clark and Tommy Fleetwood in the penultimate group on Thursday.
Niemann’s performance has been noteworthy this season, securing victories in two of the first five LIV events, while Rahm offers his competitive edge as a defending champion. Both players will be featured in the Masters’ coverage on Thursday, although no LIV golfers are grouped together during the initial rounds.
The Masters’ field includes twelve golfers from LIV as the tournament resumes amid ongoing tensions between the PGA Tour and LIV Golf. Striking a balance between tradition and competition, the Masters remains an invitational event where players gain entry through various merits, including past performances and invitations.
“There are four major championships a year where the best compete against each other,” said Fred Ridley, chairman of Augusta National Golf Club. “We want to ensure these occasions allow for the highest level of competition.” Ridley addressed previous concerns over slow play, suggesting that adjustments to starting groups could encourage a quicker pace during the tournament.
The first round of the Masters Tournament is set to commence at 7:30 a.m. EDT on April 10. As golfers prepare for the competition, the atmosphere at Augusta National promises excitement amid the backdrop of rich history and fierce competition.
In addition to the main event, the annual Par 3 Contest took place prior to the tournament, featuring golfers’ families enhancing the charm of the occasion. This year’s event ended with Nico Echavarria winning after a playoff against J.J. Spaun, a tradition often seen as lighthearted fun before the serious competition begins.
With Scottie Scheffler, a two-time champion, currently favored to win again, the stage is set for an engaging week of golf at Augusta. The unique course layout, affected by recent weather events, still presents the classic challenges that have defined the Masters over the years. As competition unfolds, fans around the world eagerly await who will don the coveted green jacket this year.
