During the recent IPL 2024 fixture between Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Gujarat Titans (GT), a moment of concern arose as Mayank Yadav, the young paceman of LSG, had to walk off mid-game due to an injury. This incident occurred during the run chase against GT, leaving fans worried about the rising talent.

Despite this setback, LSG managed to secure a crucial 33-run victory over GT, defending a target of 164 runs as Yash Thakur shone with a five-wicket haul. Meanwhile, Krunal Pandya, the seasoned all-rounder, also contributed significantly to the team’s success by taking three wickets during the match.

Addressing concerns about Mayank’s injury post-match, Krunal reassured fans that it was not a serious issue and that the young pacer would not miss upcoming matches. He stated that Mayank showed no signs of major harm and expressed excitement about the bowler’s potential in the tournament.

In the match, LSG posted a competitive total of 163/5 in their 20 overs, with Marcus Stoinis impressing with a half-century. Darshan Nalkande and Umesh Yadav were notable in GT’s bowling attack, claiming two wickets each.

Defending a massive target of 235 runs, MI restricted DC to 205/8 in 20 overs, with Gerald Coetzee taking four wickets and Jasprit Bumrah contributing with two dismissals. Rohit Sharma‘s explosive innings of 49 off 27 balls set the tone for MI’s commanding win.
