J.J. McCarthy, the highly anticipated quarterback prospect out of Michigan, has given a strong hint regarding his potential landing spot in the upcoming NFL Draft.

During an interview this week, McCarthy revealed that he believes the New York Giants are the team most likely to select him, citing the extensive time he spent with the Giants’ coaching staff.

McCarthy expressed admiration for figures such as head coach Brian Daboll, quarterback coach Shea Tierney, and offensive coordinator Mike Kafka, whom he met with extensively during the pre-draft visits.

The former Michigan QB noted that he found familiarity in Daboll’s offensive system, thanks to the similarities with the scheme he ran under former Wolverines’ coordinator Josh Gattis.

If McCarthy indeed lands with the Giants, it could mark a significant shift in the team’s quarterback strategy, potentially indicating a move on from incumbent Daniel Jones.

According to CBSSports.com’s NFL Draft expert, Chris Trapasso, he predicts the Vikings to snag McCarthy in his final mock draft, further adding to the intrigue surrounding the quarterback’s potential landing place.
