Mecole Hardman Signs One-Year Deal with Green Bay Packers

Green Bay, WI – Mecole Hardman is officially joining the Green Bay Packers after completing a second stint with the Kansas City Chiefs. The free-agent wide receiver inked a one-year deal with the Packers on March 18, 2025, further bolstering the team’s receiving corps.
Hardman, a second-round draft pick in 2019, began his NFL career with the Chiefs, spending his first four seasons in Kansas City. He ventured to the New York Jets ahead of the 2023 season, but his time there was limited to just five games before being traded back to the Chiefs.
During his second tenure with Kansas City, Hardman recorded 118 receiving yards in six games, including a notable performance in the Super Bowl against the San Francisco 49ers, where he caught three passes for 57 yards and scored the game-winning touchdown in overtime.
Although he rejoined the Chiefs on a one-year contract for the 2024 season, Hardman faced challenges that year. He experienced the least productive season of his career, finishing with only 12 receptions for 90 yards across 12 games, while sidelined for five games due to a knee injury.
Having amassed over 500 receiving yards in each of his first three seasons, Hardman’s performance has since declined, but his experience as a reliable return specialist and championship player remains invaluable. He has won three Super Bowls with the Chiefs and hopes to bring that winning attitude to Green Bay in 2025.
“They’re getting not just a player but someone who understands what it takes to win,” said an unnamed source close to Hardman. “His experience will definitely support the team in their pursuit of another championship.”
As Hardman prepares to integrate into the Packers’ system, fans and analysts alike are eager to see how his skills will enhance the team’s offensive dynamics.
