MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis Tigers guard Haggerty, a standout scorer this season, has announced his intentions to enter the NCAA transfer portal. The 6-foot-4 sophomore has captivated attention with his impressive performance, averaging 21.7 points per game along with 5.8 rebounds and 3.7 assists during the 2024-2025 season.

Haggerty’s move to enter the portal follows a remarkable year in which he led the Tigers to a 29-6 overall record, marking one of the best seasons in the program’s history. Under his leadership, Memphis won the regular-season title in the American Athletic Conference and the AAC Tournament, where he was named MVP and earned a spot on the All-Tournament Team. The team’s success led to a No. 5 seed in the NCAA Tournament.

During the season, Haggerty displayed an exceptional shooting ability, connecting on 47.6% of his field goals and 36.4% from beyond the arc. His scoring prowess placed him among the nation’s elite, showcasing only behind two other players, Jalen Hurst and Trenton McLaughlin, in overall scoring average.

“This season has been an incredible journey for me, and I’m grateful for my time at Memphis,” said Haggerty. “I believe that entering the transfer portal will provide me with new opportunities to continue my development and compete at the highest level.”

Originally from Crosby, Texas, Haggerty was a highly touted recruit, ranked as the 150th overall prospect by various recruiting services. His performance at Memphis has solidified his reputation as a reliable scorer and playmaker, making him a coveted asset for programs looking to enhance their rosters.

In his previous two seasons, Haggerty played at other Division I programs, where he consistently demonstrated his skills and adaptability.
