Metro Vancouver And Fraser Valley Schools Closed Due To Winter Storm

Following Wednesday’s winter storm that affected the Lower Mainland, public school districts in Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley have announced closures for Thursday to allow for cleanup and ensure the safety of students and staff.

In the Abbotsford School District, all public schools will be closed on Thursday.

Burnaby public schools have also announced closures for January 18.

The Chilliwack School District has decided to close all its schools on Thursday.

School District 43, including École des Pionniers, will remain closed on January 18.

All public schools in Delta will be closed on Thursday as well.

School District 35 in Langley has closed all its public schools for the day.

In Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows, public schools will be closed on January 18 due to unsafe road conditions.

The Mission School District has also decided to close all its public schools for the day.

All public schools in New Westminster will be closed on Thursday.

The North Vancouver School District has followed suit with closures for January 18.

Similarly, all public schools in the Richmond School District will be closed on Thursday.

Surrey Schools is among the districts that have announced closures for January 18.

The Vancouver School District will have all of its public schools closed on Thursday.

Lastly, all public schools in West Vancouver will be closed as well.
