Mexican Boxers Alvarez and Munguia Ready for Epic Showdown in Las Vegas
Saúl “Canelo” Álvarez and Jaime Munguía, two of Mexico‘s top boxing talents, are gearing up for an epic showdown in Las Vegas.
The Unified Super Middleweight World Champion, Mexican superstar Saúl “Canelo” Álvarez, will make his return to the ring to face the undefeated former world super welterweight champion Jaime Munguía, in the highly anticipated headliner of a thrilling card set to take place this Saturday, May 4th, at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Canelo vs. Munguía is a historic fight, marking the first bout between Mexican fighters for the undisputed title of four belts, harking back to the great Mexico vs. Mexico matchups of the past.
While both fighters showed mutual respect during Wednesday’s press conference, each has promised a ‘total war’ for the passionate Mexican fans tuning in.
‘This is going to be a great Mexican war. Munguía and I are both coming to win, but I am going to win decisively. Fans will truly enjoy Saturday night, and I’m proud to make history with two Mexican fighters vying for all four belts,’ Álvarez remarked.
‘I feel better than ever and am ready for this fight. I don’t know how many rounds it will last, but Mexican fans will love this bout,’ Munguía stated confidently.
‘I don’t care about experience versus youth; I am Canelo. I have everything I need to win, and I know exactly what I have to do,’ Álvarez emphasized.
‘I am happy to have a great celebration on Saturday night. It’s for all Mexican fans, no matter who they support. I am very proud to bring this fight to life,’ Munguía added.
‘Munguía has power and is a good fighter. But I am also a strong fighter, and I will prove it to everyone again on Saturday night. The fight will last as long as it lasts. One thing is for sure: you won’t want to miss it,’ Álvarez declared.
‘I am very excited and happy that this fight is almost here. My team has been behind me all along, and all fans can expect a total Mexican war. Make sure to tune in; you won’t be disappointed,’ Munguía concluded.
‘Canelo is a tough opponent, and we are ready for whatever he brings to the table. He will be the best after Saturday night,’ Munguía’s camp stated.
‘This Saturday night at the T-Mobile Arena, two Mexican action-packed warriors clash for the right to brag in a proud fighting nation, in one of the most important Cinco de Mayo bouts in years. These fighters will show the world that the only thing that matters is victory,’ the promoters highlighted.
