To qualify for the state tournament, teams need to be in the top 32 of their divisions or maintain a .500 or better record. In addition, the top four seeds and all teams with records above .500 will secure entries into the boys’ and girls’ state tournaments.
This spring, the state tournaments will include nine sports: baseball, softball, boys’ and girls’ lacrosse, boys’ volleyball, boys’ and girls’ tennis, and boys’ and girls’ rugby.
As of the latest update, the rankings include several teams performing well this season. In Division 1, Duxbury leads with a record of 9-1, followed by Plymouth North at 8-1. Notable mentions also include Braintree (7-2) and BC High (6-4).
In other divisions, Silver Lake is maintaining an impressive record of 8-0, while Notre Dame Academy leads in their rankings at 10-1. Meanwhile, teams like Weymouth and Brockton are struggling, each with lower win rates.
