Miami Heat’s Bam Adebayo Surprises Shoppers in Prank at Lowe’s

NORTH MIAMI BEACH, Fla. — Miami Heat star Bam Adebayo pulled off a playful prank on unsuspecting shoppers at a Lowe’s store in North Miami Beach on April 15, 2025, by disguising himself as an employee.
Adebayo mingled with customers, answering questions about products and offering assistance. Many shoppers were oblivious to his true identity during this light-hearted surprise. “I kept on looking at a picture and I kept looking at him, and I was like, ‘Dang, he’s really looking like it. Is this a promotional thing, is that why they look alike?’” one shopper recalled.
Another shopper shared her experience, stating, “He said he wasn’t him. He said he was a cousin, so you’ve got to believe his word for that, but, Heat in five.”
The Miami Heat partnered with Hisense, an electronics company, to create this unexpected event, aiming to delight local fans and shoppers. As a part of the partnership, shoppers had a chance to win a free trip for two to the NBA Finals.
After revealing his identity, Adebayo posed for pictures with fans, standing next to a cutout of himself. The event not only provided entertainment but also connected the star athlete with the community.
Such initiatives highlight the Heat’s commitment to engaging with fans beyond the basketball court, adding an element of surprise and excitement to everyday experiences.
