Miami Open Tennis Prize Money Breakdown 2025

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. — The highly anticipated 2025 Miami Open has officially begun, featuring a talented lineup of tennis superstars competing for a share of the record $9,193,540 prize purse.

Running from March 19 to March 30, the tournament will host the best players from the ATP and WTA tours at Hard Rock Stadium. Among the prestigious participants are world-renowned athletes like Carlos Alcaraz, Novak Djokovic, Daniil Medvedev, and Aryna Sabalenka.

The singles champions in both men’s and women’s draws will take home $1,124,380, while the doubles champion team will split $457,150. This year marks the 40th edition of the Miami Open, solidifying its status as a critical stop on the ATP Masters 1000 circuit.

“The Miami Open is one of the biggest tournaments outside the Grand Slams, and the excitement this year is palpable,” said tournament director James Blake. “We have a stellar lineup and a competitive field that will deliver thrilling matches over the next two weeks.”

Defending men’s champion Jannik Sinner will not return to defend his title, as he is currently serving a three-month suspension. His absence leaves the field open for newcomers and seasoned players alike. Last year’s champion secured victory against Grigor Dimitrov with a dominant 6-3, 6-1 final match.

The men’s event started with Alexander Zverev as the top seed, receiving a bye in the first round. He is set to face either Benjamin Bonzi or Jacob Fearnley in his second match. Alcaraz, the second seed, will leap into the action in Round 2 against David Goffin or Alexander Vukic.

“There are no easy matches here, and every player must bring their best game to advance,” stated Zverev. “The competition is fierce and everyone is aiming for the title.”

Meanwhile, excitement is also building in the women’s draw as Mirra Andreeva, a rising star at just 17 years old, enters the tournament on a remarkable 12-match winning streak. Having claimed back-to-back WTA Masters 1000 titles, Andreeva is poised to challenge the likes of top seed Aryna Sabalenka and world No. 2 Iga Swiatek.

Sabalenka, who recently faced Andreeva in the BNP Paribas final, aims to recover from the disappointment of that match and make a mark in Miami. “I’m ready to fight for the title. It’s time to turn disappointing results into victory,” said Sabalenka.

The tournament format includes knockout rounds that begin today, culminating in the finals for both singles and doubles on March 30. The intensity will increase as athletes vie for the coveted trophy and significant prize money.

Live coverage of the Miami Open is available on Tennis Channel and the TC Plus streaming platform, allowing tennis fans worldwide to catch all the action. The event is also accessible via various local broadcasters.
