Millonarios Vs Deportivo Pasto Soccer Match 2025

PASTO, Colombia — Millonarios will make their delayed debut in the 2025 Liga Betplay Apertura tournament on Saturday against Deportivo Pasto at Estadio La Libertad, following a violent incident that postponed their opening match. The game is set to kick off at 5:10 p.m. local time.

The team’s initial match against Unión Magdalena in Santa Marta was canceled after their team bus was attacked by vandals, leaving three people injured, including goalkeeper Iván Arboleda, who sustained a serious eye injury. Arboleda has since recovered and traveled with the team to Pasto.

Millonarios, led by coach David González, will field 18 players, including the return of David Mackalister Silva, who missed the first game due to a knee injury. Silva is expected to play as an offensive midfielder, while Daniel Cataño is likely to start on the right wing.

Deportivo Pasto, meanwhile, enters the match after a 2-0 loss to Deportes Tolima in their season opener. The team struggled to find their rhythm in Ibagué and will look to rebound in front of their home crowd.

The last encounter between these two teams at Estadio La Libertad ended in a 0-0 draw on December 8, 2024, during the Liga Betplay 2024-II quadrangulars. That result eliminated Millonarios from the tournament’s final stage despite their control over their fate.

Saturday’s match will be broadcast live on Win Sports+ and streamed online at www.futbolred.com.
