Another player under scrutiny is Jaden McDaniels, who has regressed offensively for the second consecutive season. McDaniels, once seen as a key piece alongside Edwards, is averaging just 9.8 points per game on poor shooting splits. His defensive prowess remains elite, but his offensive struggles have raised questions about his long-term fit with the team.

As the trade deadline looms, the Timberwolves must decide whether to make a move to salvage their season or ride out the current roster. With Anthony Edwards in his prime, the pressure is on to build a competitive team capable of returning to the Western Conference Finals—or beyond.
