Minnesota United Hosts St. Louis CITY SC for Mental Health Awareness Game

ST. PAUL, Minn. — Minnesota United FC will face St. Louis CITY SC in a regular-season match on Saturday, with kickoff set for 7:30 p.m. CT at Allianz Field. This game is part of the Mental Health Awareness initiative sponsored by Blue Cross Blue Shield Minnesota.
The Loons are looking to regain their momentum after recently suffering a 2-0 defeat to the Houston Dynamo. Prior to that match, Minnesota secured a strong 4-1 victory over Inter Miami, marking a standout performance from head coach Eric Ramsay and midfielder Robin Lod.
Currently, Minnesota is third in the Western Conference with 22 points. Goalkeeper Dayne St. Clair has achieved an impressive six clean sheets this season. “We’re ready to get back to our standard starting lineup and play some good soccer,” a team representative stated.
The event will kick off with the Sun Country Lawn Layover pregame party at 5:30 p.m., featuring mental health awareness activities and community engagement. Attendees can pick up signs, interact with local organizations, and even meet puppies from Coco’s Heart Dog Rescue.
During the match, fans will be invited to show their “Be Kind to Your Mind” signs in a moment of solidarity focused on prioritizing mental health. The game will be broadcasted live via the Apple TV app and on radio stations KYKY Y98.1 FM for English listeners and KXOK 102.9 FM for Spanish.
As excitement builds for the game, the community is encouraged to join the “March to the Match,” starting at the Calling Loon sculpture at 6:30 p.m. All fans are welcome to participate.
Minnesota United holds a favorable record against St. Louis CITY SC, having won three of their four meetings to date. The Loons won both encounters last season, including a dominant 4-1 victory at home.
