Minnesota Wild Aims for Victory Against Golden Knights in Playoff Showdown

SAINT PAUL, Minn. — The Minnesota Wild are set to host the Vegas Golden Knights for Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs at the Xcel Energy Center tonight. The puck drops at 8 p.m. local time, with the game available on TBS and HBO Max.
Coming off a solid 5-2 victory in Game 2 on Tuesday, the Wild are looking to build momentum and secure a crucial win against the Golden Knights. This matchup marks the Wild’s 11th appearance in the playoffs over the past 13 seasons, yet they seek their first playoff series win since the 2014-15 season.
The Wild finished the regular season with a record of 45 wins, 30 losses, and 7 overtime losses, placing fourth in the Central Division. In contrast, the Golden Knights led the Pacific Division with a record of 50-22-10. Historically, Minnesota has struggled against Vegas, going 0-3 against them in the regular season this year.
“When you look around the room and you’re missing pieces, it wears on you,” Wild forward Marcus Foligno stated. “But now that we have our full roster back, we can use that to our advantage.”
Key players for the Wild include Matthew Boldy, who has netted 27 goals this season, and goaltender Filip Gustavsson, who boasts a goals-against average of 2.56 over 58 games played. For the Golden Knights, Jack Eichel leads the team with 28 goals and 66 assists, while goaltender Adin Hill has a solid GAA of 2.47.
The Wild will also host Game 4 on Saturday, April 26, at 3 p.m., seeking to capitalize on home ice advantage. Fans are encouraged to arrive early for a pregame party starting at 5 p.m.
