Mitchell Marsh Joins Lucknow Super Giants for ₹3.4 Crore in IPL 2025 Auction

Australia‘s Mitchell Marsh has been signed by the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 mega auction held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Marsh, who previously played for the Delhi Capitals in 2022, 2023, and 2024, was released by the franchise before the auction. He had set his base price at ₹2 crore, but LSG secured his services for ₹3.4 crore.

Marsh’s IPL career has been marked by frequent injuries, limiting him to just 42 matches since his debut in the second IPL edition in 2009. Despite this, he has played for several franchises, including Sunrisers Hyderabad, Rising Pune Supergiants, Pune Warriors India, and Deccan Chargers.

As a veteran all-rounder, Marsh has had a significant impact in T20 cricket globally. He has featured in 187 T20 games, scoring 4,425 runs at a strike rate of 132.92, including a century. Additionally, he has taken 85 wickets with the ball and is known for his powerful striking and handy overs.

Marsh is currently the T20I captain of Australia and is recognized for his powerful striking off the back foot, as well as his ability to provide useful overs with the ball and his safe fielding skills.
