Music Producer Lil Rod Files Sexual Assault Lawsuit Against Sean Combs
A music producer known as Lil Rod, whose real name is Rodney Jones, has filed a lawsuit against the iconic rapper Sean Combs, commonly known as Diddy, alleging sexual assault and various forms of misconduct.
In the complaint filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, Jones accuses Diddy of drugging, sex trafficking, making threats, and sexually harassing him for over a year during their collaboration on The Love Album: Off the Grid, which earned a Grammy nomination.
The lawsuit includes explicit claims that Diddy engaged in illegal activities while living and traveling with Jones, even alleging that Diddy forced Jones to procure sex workers and participate in non-consensual group sexual activities, with Diddy’s son Justin also reportedly involved.
According to the allegations, Diddy’s chief of staff Kristina Khorram dismissed Jones’ complaints as ‘friendly horseplay,’ which he felt was an inappropriate response to the alleged abuses he faced.
The lawsuit further asserts that Jones was not compensated for his work on The Love Album, allowing Diddy, Love Records, Motown Records, and Universal Music Group to profit extensively without fair remuneration for the producer.
Other defendants named in the lawsuit include Diddy’s son Justin, Universal Music Group CEO Lucian Grainge, former Motown Records CEO Ethiopia Habtemariam, and Diddy’s chief of staff Kristina Khorram, who are collectively referred to as a ‘RICO enterprise’ by Jones’ attorneys for purportedly failing to curb Diddy’s alleged actions.
The legal action comes amidst a wave of similar allegations against Diddy, with the lawsuit citing previous claims made by singer Cassie and three other women accusing the music mogul of sexual misconduct and assault.
