Mya Lesnar Shot Put Ncaa Championship

EUGENE, Oregon — Mya Lesnar, the daughter of WWE and UFC champion Brock Lesnar, is poised to compete for the NCAA Outdoor Shot Put title next week. Lesnar comes into the championships with momentum after winning the indoor national championship earlier this year.

The 23-year-old Colorado State senior has been a standout athlete in shot put, recently throwing an impressive 60 feet and 8.5 inches at the West Region qualifiers. This marked her best throw this season and secured her spot as the national leader with a record of 64 feet and 3.75 inches achieved earlier this season.

Mya, who hails from Alexandria, Minnesota, has a remarkable track record, winning the indoor shot put title for three straight years. Last year at the outdoor nationals, she placed fifth. Her journey in athletics has already earned her the honor of being the Mountain West Female Athlete of the Year for 2024.

She began her collegiate career at Arizona State but later transferred to Colorado State, where she has made history. Notably, she became the first women’s athlete from Colorado State to win an NCAA Indoor Shot Put title with a throw of 18.53 meters in 2024.

Her father, Brock Lesnar, is a two-time All-American who won an NCAA heavyweight wrestling championship in 2000. Despite his fame, he has been a supportive presence in Mya’s life. In previous remarks, Brock has expressed that being Mya’s father is his top priority.

Mya has consistently broken school and facility records, further showcasing her strength and determination. As she prepares for the outdoor championships, she looks to continue her family’s legacy of excellence in sports.

Whether Mya can secure the national title is yet to be seen, but her athletic prowess and dedication are clear. The championships begin next week, and all eyes will be on her performance.
