The Artists Association of Nantucket is set to unveil its annual People’s Choice exhibition this Friday at the Cecelia Joyce & Seward Johnson Gallery, located on Washington Street. The event runs until Monday, November 16, and offers an interactive element unique from the association’s typical shows.

Nicci Peña, the gallery manager, explained the distinctiveness of this exhibition, stating, “People’s Choice is our annual exhibition with an interactive element. The public will vote on their favorite artworks from our local artist members.” This initiative allows the Nantucket community to actively engage with the art, selecting winners for first, second, and third place honors over the duration of the exhibition.

The gallery, which dedicates two floors to showcasing local art, is open to visitors from Tuesday to Saturday, between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. To find more information about the Artists Association of Nantucket, interested parties are encouraged to visit their official website.
