Nascar Cup Series Nashville Superspeedway

Lebanon, Tennessee – This weekend, the NASCAR Cup Series returns to the Nashville Superspeedway for its second race of the season, with festivities kicking off on Friday, May 30. All three NASCAR National Series will compete at the track, providing an exciting lineup of events.

The race weekend schedule includes the Truck Series race on Friday night, followed by the Xfinity Series on Saturday. The Cup Series race will take place on Sunday, June 1. This year’s Cup race is significant as it falls a month earlier than previous years, which may help avoid typical delays caused by rain.

Teams expect a mix of weather conditions this weekend, especially Friday, when rain is expected. Highs are projected to reach around 70 degrees, while Saturday’s temperatures will be warmer, ranging from the upper 70s to low 80s. Sunday night’s race will start with temperatures in the upper 60s to mid-70s.

Live coverage of the races will occur on Amazon Prime Video and The CW. Cup Series practice will start at 4:30 p.m. ET on Saturday, followed by qualifying. The Cracker Barrel 400 race will commence at 7 p.m. ET on Sunday, with the green flag expected around 7:15 p.m. ET.

The Xfinity Series takes the stage on Saturday, with practice starting at 2:05 p.m. ET. The Tennessee Lottery 250 race coverage will begin at 7 p.m. ET, with the green flag likely to fall around 7:40 p.m. ET.

The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series will also compete in a one-day show, with practice beginning at 4:05 p.m. ET on Friday and the Rackley Roofing 200 race starting at 8:20 p.m. ET.

NASCAR has been working on broadcasting changes this season, with Amazon joining Nielsen to track viewership for its Cup races. Past races have reported varied viewership, with last weekend’s Coca-Cola 600 attracting an average of 2.724 million viewers, down from last year. The younger demographic of viewers is a noted change as well.

As fans gear up for a thrilling weekend of racing, the stage is set for exciting competition at the Nashville Superspeedway.
